The people behind Nomad Tax Help

Built from our own experience of living internationally.

Felix Yanez-Bowker and Jamie started Nomad Tax Help after working through their own residency questions. Today, the service helps digital nomads and travelling founders establish a Paraguay base.

Felix takes the service consultations and coordinates your wider setup. Local partners assist with documents and appointments; the relevant independent professionals handle specialist legal and accounting work.

Our approach is to explain how the residency, company, banking and filing pieces fit together, then agree what help you need. You can learn the DIY route through the masterclass or ask the team to handle the implementation.

    Why we exist

Almost every nomad asks the same question at least once: “Where on earth do I pay taxes!?” The search for an answer usually looks the same: 40 browser tabs, contradictory advice and a nagging sense that something somewhere is going wrong. We exist to close the tabs, take the stress off your shoulders and help you become tax-efficient.

    II.

    What we do

Paraguay residency preparation, local appointment support and coordination of the later tax-registration steps. We also help with company formation, banking applications and ongoing administration. Your income, work locations and existing tax ties determine the appropriate setup.

    III.

    How we help

We map your situation, weigh your options and point you in the right direction, even if that isn’t us. If it’s a fit, great: our team handles the heavy paperwork and stays by your side every step of the way, so you can do things compliantly and sleep at night.

    IV.

    Who we do it for

The people we help usually look like this:

    • Freelancers, founders and remote employees
    • Overwhelmed by conflicting advice online
    • Paying high taxes back home
    • Want compliance, not clever workarounds
    • Want help preparing the trip and handling the administration

    A letter from Felix ✌️

Very poetically, the advent of NomadTaxHelp is a funny story.

A few months ago, I was flicking through some old notebooks and came across this note from May 2021:

Handwritten notebook entry from May 2021 listing business ideas, including one about helping people move overseas for tax residency

Fast forward 46 months (to March 2025), Jamie and I were living in an apartment at 1,480m altitude in the Andorran Pyrenees, trying to untangle our own residencies and tax setups.

We are both nomads, and we had both discovered the same thing: the moment you leave your home country, nobody is responsible for explaining what you owe, where, or why.

I was still paying taxes back home in Spain; while Jamie was doing the same in Singapore. Yet, we no longer lived there.

The advice we found was either eye-wateringly expensive, wrapped in jargon, or quietly suggesting things that would not survive an audit. So we started by helping ourselves. Then our friends. Then strangers.

Year 1 was a rollercoaster. We ran our first in-person event (see below) in June 2025, at Monday co-working space in Uluwatu. By August we had built personalised tax plans for 200 people. By the end of November we had personally spoken to more than 100 nomads at our workshops, hearing the same sentence in different accents:

"I just want to know if I am doing this right; and if there's a better way."

NomadTaxHelp's first workshop at Monday coworking in Uluwatu, Bali
Where it got real: our first workshop. Monday coworking, Uluwatu.
“The plans were good. The business wasn’t.”

That is the honest part. We were helping people understand the problem, but we had no reliable way to help them actually solve it. We had partners across the UAE, Cyprus, Portugal and Paraguay, and we were spread too thin across all of them.

So in late 2025 we made the call that changed everything: pick one route and do it properly. Paraguay. A real residency, a territorial system with 0% tax on foreign-source income, and delivery by a team on the ground we already trusted. Friends first; we met in Singapore back in 2023 and stayed close long before we ever worked together. That order matters to us.

In November, Fran joined to build the engine: the funnels, the systems, the operations behind the scenes. Without him, you would not be reading this page. In March 2026 we ran our first live webinar, and education stopped being a substitute for the product and became the front door to it.

That is where we are. Two founders, a small team, one route we know inside out, and licensed professionals delivering every piece of legal work. We have taken courses in product, sales and AI along the way, Jamie the same in content and social, because we would rather keep improving than pretend we have it all figured out.

I hope that in our next chapter, we can help you ❤️

All the best for the day ahead,

    Felix ✌️

This is why the structure has to be boring.

Days like this are the whole point of the nomad life. You cannot enjoy them with an audit hanging over your head. A structure that is legal, simple and built to last is not the boring part of freedom. It is the part that makes the rest possible.

    Apply to discuss your setup

This is what the freedom is for.

What we stand for (and what it costs us)

Values are cheap unless they cost something. Here is what ours cost us.

    Compliance over cleverness.

We only help build structures designed to survive scrutiny, not loopholes for one filing year.  The cost: we turn away people who want aggressive schemes, and the revenue that goes with them.

    Education before transaction.

We publish what we know, including the parts that talk people out of buying.  The cost: some people take the free knowledge and go with our competitors. We are fine with that.

    Facilitator, never adviser.

Licensed professionals do all legal and tax work; we coordinate, translate and explain.  The cost: we give up the fatter margins of pretending to be something we are not.

    No guaranteed outcomes.

Tax authorities decide outcomes. Anyone promising certainty is selling you certainty they do not have.  The cost: we lose prospects to people who promise it anyway.

    Right fit only.

If Paraguay or a US LLC is wrong for your situation, we say so on the call and point you elsewhere.  The cost: real sales, politely declined.
