How to Choose a Paraguay Residency Agency
A useful provider comparison starts with the service you are buying. An immigration application, a tax-registration process and an ongoing company-accounting arrangement are different pieces of work. Ask each agency to quote the same scope so you can compare the answers.
NTH provides residency and related business services. This is our checklist for assessing a proposal, including ours. It is not a paid ranking or a claim that one agency is right for everyone.
1. What exactly is included?
Ask for a written list of the applications, document checks, consultations and local appointments covered. If the proposal mentions a cédula, RUC or tax-residency certificate, ask which stage delivers it and what you must provide.
“Residency setup” is too broad to compare on its own. The cédula, RUC and certificate guide explains why these are separate documents.
For NTH, the current Premium+ package includes residency and tax-documentation coordination, company formation, banking applications and first-year support. Your proposal should confirm how that scope applies if you already have a company or bank accounts.
2. Who will handle my case?
Find out who takes the consultation, who checks your paperwork, who accompanies you locally and who handles legal or accounting questions. Ask for the responsible professional’s role and credentials where specialist advice is part of the engagement.
Felix is NTH’s first point of contact. Local partners and independent licensed professionals handle the relevant delivery work. Coordination and professional advice should be identified separately; a brand name alone does not tell you who is responsible for a particular task.
3. What happens before I book my flight?
Ask whether the actual documents are checked before you commit to travel. Confirm the category, authentication, translation and validity requirements for your case against Migraciones’ published requirements.
A useful answer describes the review and what happens if something is missing. “Bring your passport” is not an adequate explanation of the whole application. Start with our document checklist.
4. What does the timeline measure?
Ask the provider to separate your visit, submission, government processing and subsequent applications. Also ask which estimates can change and whether another visit is needed.
NTH’s 4–6-day initial-visit plan refers to appointments. It does not mean you receive every immigration and tax document during that stay. Compare the full sequence of stages, not just the shortest headline number.
5. What will I pay outside the package?
Get separate answers for flights, accommodation, translations, document charges, optional routes and renewal support. Ask when service payments become due and when work becomes non-refundable under the written terms.
For NTH, the US$5,950 Premium+ price is the service price. The included 12-month lease is not travel accommodation. Our cost guide helps you build the wider budget.
6. How are banking and my existing tax position assessed?
A company registration is not a promise of bank approval. Ask which eligibility checks happen before applying and what happens if the first provider declines. The agency should use your real residence, activity and supporting records.
For tax planning, ask how your home-country obligations and the places where you work enter the assessment. You want a discussion of your circumstances, not a universal answer based only on where you receive payments. Read the banking guide before comparing account promises.
7. Can I assess the client evidence?
Look for identifiable customers describing the service they actually used. A useful testimonial explains an experience: preparation, appointment support, communication or follow-through. It does not establish that everyone gets the same approval date or tax outcome.
You can watch Joel and Julia’s experiences and read more client reviews. Ask any provider whether its examples relate to the package it is offering you now.
Compare published packages on the same basis
The table below is a starting point for your shortlist, not a rating of delivery quality. NTH wrote this guide and sells one of the services shown. We checked the public package pages on 6 November 2026; get a current written quotation before deciding.
| Provider and package | Published price | Where to check the detail |
|---|---|---|
| Nomad Tax Help Premium+ | US$5,950 | Residency, company, banking and first-year support |
| Paraguay Pathways Temporary Gold | PYG 20,000,000 | Provider’s package page |
| WeParaguay VIP | $4,500 as displayed; confirm billing currency | Provider’s package page |
For the differences in inclusions and ongoing responsibilities, read NTH vs Paraguay Pathways and NTH vs WeParaguay. An item that is not stated on a package page needs clarification; it does not prove that the provider cannot offer it.
If you only need residency assistance, start with that scope. If you also need company work, banking applications and recurring filings, ask each provider to quote those explicitly. A lower initial price is useful only when you know what it covers and what you will arrange separately.
Your circumstances also change the questions. Digital nomads and remote workers need a workable visit and travel plan. Travelling founders should also map company ownership, payment accounts and filing responsibilities.
Take this checklist to the consultation
| Ask for | A useful answer contains |
|---|---|
| Written scope | Deliverables, exclusions and your responsibilities |
| Delivery contacts | Named roles for coordination and specialist work |
| Trip plan | Document pre-check, appointments and estimated stages |
| Total budget | Service fee, separate costs and recurring support |
| Terms | Payment schedule, cancellations and what happens if plans change |
| Ongoing support | Contact channel, records and renewal responsibilities |
If the proposal answers these clearly, you can decide whether the service is worth the price to you. If you are still deciding whether you need an agency at all, compare DIY with professional support. To discuss our scope, apply for a call with Felix.
